The LunaDome is nestled among the apple trees at Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort in majestic Cape Breton. The idea came from a discussion with the owner about how to make better use of the apple orchard. The problem was occasional flooding in the winter. The solution was to move the structure off the ground and into the air.
The response was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. It captures the imagination and there is nothing like it on the island. Since the first dome was built, two more soon followed and Treetop Village was born.
