Found some beautiful grayed out wood (approx. 100 years old) that originally came from a warehouse rafter, and decided to create a gathering table. I loved the character of the wood, so I kept as many unique qualities as I could. To keep the nice gray finish, I used a new product (new to me) that protects the wood while maintaining the colour. The base was formed from three-inch square steel and painted flat black to bring the focus to the wood top. It's currently being displayed at Style 52 in Bayer's Lake, Halifax.
